I had a super rough October — I was unbelievably depressed for a number of reasons that seemed to culminate over the month, so I wasn’t eating, wasn’t sleeping, and was somehow also trying to stay as busy as possible while struggling most days to even leave the house. However, during this time (a rather dark one for someone like me who is pretty regularly happy/optimistic), my friends came through for me in a way that words fail to properly describe — all of my pals seemed to know just the right times to call and e-mail to check on me, and nearly everyone I’ve ever met took me out to lunch or dinner at some point and really pulled me out of my hole with kind words, good conversation, and thoughtful advice. It made all the difference in the world (but I’m still glad that month is over).
